The Starting a Business workshop is intended for individuals in the beginning stages of starting a business, in need of accessing capital, or simply considering self-employment. Delivered in a workshop format, this introductory session helps aspiring entrepreneurs assess their abilities to lead and manage a company, as well as evaluate market and sales potential for their products/services.
This workshop is available at no cost for Michigan residents and is given by one of our certified small business consultants.
Manistee location and registration information: here

Michigan State University held several interview sessions in Northern Michigan recently and Manistee was one of the locations they chose to interview. As a result, of the study they have developed an online survey, with the aim of reaching as many people as they can in the Manistee community.

“We are hopeful that you’re still willing to share the online survey link with your network (via email, social media, etc)” says Michelle Rutty, Assistant Professor, Department Community Sustainability. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete, with a chance to win a $50 Meijer gift card. Click here to take the survey

MSU will also be back in Manistee in the fall for a community-wide forum to share the findings from their interviews, focus group, and the online survey.
