Manufacturing Day 2024

This year’s Manufacturing Day was a huge success, with 13 local businesses and 9 schools joining forces to inspire nearly 700 students across the region! Students explored career paths in manufacturing, gaining valuable insights into the skills and innovations shaping our industries.

Here’s what a few of our hosts and organizers had to say:

📣 Ryan Raymond at Pollington (hosted McBain and Pine River):

“I think MFG Day went great. Both groups from each school were fantastic. Good participation in some Q&As, and both schools displayed excellent behavior.”

📣 Ryan Quist at FedEx (hosted Cadillac):

“We enjoyed MFG Day, thank you for including us in this important day!”

📣 Ryan Schultz at MR Products (hosted Mesick and Bear Lake):

“It was an inspiring opportunity for students to see firsthand the innovative work happening in manufacturing and to spark their interest in potential career paths. Engaging with the next generation is vital for our industry, and we’re excited to help nurture their curiosity and skills!”

Niki Schultz from Alliance for Economic Success:

“The response from our local manufacturers was incredible. Manufacturing Day has been a community tradition for many years, and we’re grateful for the continued support from businesses who participated again this year. With new businesses joining the lineup, we’re hopeful to strengthen partnerships between companies, schools, and organizations like AES, Cadillac and Missaukee Area Chamber of Commerce, and MiWorks.”

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible! Here’s to building stronger connections between our schools and local industries.
